“conversations about your death can reshape your life” (free webinar)

When we think about end of life, many things can come to mind: estate planning, health care treatments, and how to support and be supported by those closest to us. But this is only one part of the Advance Care Planning process; it is equally as important to self-reflect and zero in on the vital aspects of who you are – and how your values and your life can shape your death.

We’ll be joined by Dr. Robert McDermid to explore how conversations about end of life can help you to better understand what’s important to you and how those values could be reflected in your death. We encourage you to forward or post this invitation to friends, family, and health professionals. We would love to have a big audience of families joining us from all across the country to learn and reflect together.

Dr. Robert McDermid

is an intensive care physician, the former Site Medical Director of Surrey Memorial Hospital, and current chair of the Fraser Health Authority Medical Advisory Committee. He is a Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia and author of more than 40 scientific publications and book chapters. Being both a front-line clinician and administrative leader has tested his resilience, taught him humility, and highlighted for him the importance of servant leadership, self-compassion, and self-care.
