Remembrance Day — walking meditation at Ross Bay Cemetery

Ross_Bay_Cemetery_Fall_colors_(1)Please join us at Ross Bay Cemetery for a slow walking meditation amid the graves. The cemetery has the oldest surviving formal landscape design in BC and is a superb example of a Victorian-era burial ground. Start at 3 pm and end by 4 pm.

We’ll begin with a brief recital of the Buddha’s Five Remembrances, then walk in silence near War, Chinese, and First Nations graves. We’ll conclude with hot tea and shared remembrances under a big tree. If you’re late, we’ll be easy to spot.

Let’s meet at the entrance off Memorial Crescent, between Dallas Road and Fairfield Road (see map). We’ll go rain or shine: please dress accordingly. Tea will be provided. Bring a small mug for tea and cookies if you like. Also a friend.
